School Crafts for Christmas

One of the classes I work with created soap with a surprise inside.  Hopefully, this will encourage using soap....lol

To make the soap we used:
soap molds

This came from our local craft store and cost $19.99.
Scent and coloring for soap.
and the small ornaments for the surprise and a measuring cup to use to  melt the glycerine.

We melted the gylcerine for 20-40 seconds in the microwave until lumpy. We added one drop of coloring and one drop of the scent.

and poured it into the molds

Once it started to get a film on the top we added the "surprise" ornament.

*Make sure to place it upside down! The top will become the bottom once it is completed.

We then grated a little bit of white bar soap to the top to make the "snow" on the bottom.
and placed it into the freezer for about thirty minutes.

This was very easy and the kids were so excited about the soap!

Crayon Christmas Cards

We broke up old crayons

We added them to the silicone molds and put them into the oven on 250 degrees.
The students make the card to go under the crayon figure:
The faculty and staff loved their handmade cards from the class!

Too cute!!!
